IT
Manager
This person will design and maintain
Infrastructure. Could be for
supporting future and existing voice/data networks. Manage all IT aspects
of Facilities Engineering Projects as well as being responsible for all
wire termination areas (MDF’s IDF’s). Plan, develop, implement and maintain infrastructure
for voice, multimedia and data technologies as well as future
growth. Manage the IT/ Facilities
Group on the following: moves, add and change requests; new IT/
Facilities Building Projects; internal and external wiring inventory and
daily data center tape backups; and adherence to all IT standards. Attend IT and Facilities meetings as
required. Keep current on
advancements in both the voice and data technologies and develop a
strategic plan for optimizing company IT services, both short and long
term, and costs. Supervise, hire,
train and develop staff members, provide timely and appropriate
performance feedback, and recommend compensation and department structure
decisions. Ensure that staff knowledge and skills remain current as
technology changes. Ensure the
development and implementation of safety and security procedures as per
Corporate Standards. Manage
IT/Facilities Budgets as required.
Develop the department's annual budget and ensure that expenses
are controlled in an appropriate manner. This includes reviewing,
recommending and negotiating contracts with vendors and approving all
department supply and maintenance requests. Develop and keep current
emergency contingency plans to minimize voice and data infrastructure
disruptions within or between company sites. Ensure readiness of disaster recovery
team and resources; participate in disaster recovery team response.
Minimum Job Requirements:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
6-8 years’ experience in voice/data applications, including specific
experience with Cisco and Nortel data equipment, Avaya PBX’s.
Knowledge of Lan/Wan networks, IDF, MDF and campus environment wiring.
Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated communication and
leadership skills including 7 years managerial experience. Ability to
handle multiple simultaneous priorities. Ability to travel depending on
company size.
Network Administrator
Responsible for user setup and support, maintaining and
supporting networking hardware and software; perform application installs
and upgrades. Trouble shoot system
and network related issues.
Perform network and server administration. Purchase hardware. Manage IT vendors and service
providers. Manage phone
system. Experience installing and
maintaining network devices and systems and maintaining server
applications. Experience on various servers administration. Must possess
strong test, debug and optimization skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's
degree in CS, MIS or related field; minimum of 2 years experience in
computer networking.
Database
Administrator
Under supervision of the Manager, Database Administration
performs a variety of complex administrative and technical work in
database management, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the databases
and data dictionaries of the enterprise. Installs and configures
application software, creates and manages database instances. Inspects
and resolves database problems quickly and efficiently, develops reports
and ancillary paperwork and maintains system security. Performs other
duties as assigned. Experience with installation and patching of client
server, client and application software; Experience with client database
creation and configuration; Experience with use of client database tools,
including export/import and SQL-Loader; Experience with database
monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning; Experience with
proper database backup and restore procedures; Ability to troubleshoot
all areas of the database environment, including networking; Ability to
create, maintain and troubleshoot PL/SQL objects, shell scripts, and
utilities; Ability to develop and execute complex DDL and DML SQL
statements; Experience in Oracle on UNIX (Solaris preferred) and/or Red
Hat Linux environments; Experience with supporting Oracle Applications
11i a plus; Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL a plus;
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally
and in writing; Ability to work well with people from different
disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; Ability to
troubleshoot issues beyond the database environment and into related OS
and application areas; Ability to meet deadlines; Ability to establish
and maintain effective working relationships with consultants, peers and
supervisors; Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations
and in making decisions; Ability to follow verbal and written
instructions, as applicable.
Requirements: BS
degree in computer science, or comparable technical education. A minimum
2-4 years work experience as a database administrator in a commercial
environment using Oracle RDBMS. Ability to work on tasks with a high
degree of complexity, errors can cause substantial delay, expense and
disruption of significant portions of the company's IT operations.
Unix Systems Administrator
Unix Services group which is a part of
the Systems Administration and Network Services organization. Unix
Systems Administrators tasked with designing, building, and operating
both customer-facing Internet and internal Unix and Linux systems.
Requires excellent written communications skills; a can do, enthusiastic
attitude toward work and internal customers; strong troubleshooting
skills and the ability to perform advanced performance and capacity
tuning administration tasks. Must be well organized, self-starter, able
to deliver assigned tasks on time, and manage multiple tasks. Experienced
in security administration, including system hardening best practices,
network security, and vulnerability scanning/assessments.
Responsibilities
to include:
o
Rack, network, OS, configure, harden Linux servers.
o
Provide on-going administration of Unix/Linux
systems.
o
Compile source code, source RPM's, patch code, test
and install patches and updates.
o
Support Java production and development platforms.
o
24 x 7 on call duties (on a rotation schedule). Must
be willing to carry a pager 24 x 7 x 365 in case of emergencies.
o
Document HOWTO's and procedures for troubleshooting
and system management.
o
Hold meetings to gather system requirements with
engineers, architects and other system stakeholders.
o
Write project plans, interact effectively with
various architects, engineers and resources in resolving problems during
the project planning and implementation phases.
Qualifications:
BA or BS (4 year
undergraduate degree) from an accredited institution. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a
Unix Systems Administrator in a corporate environment. Experience in either an Oracle or DB2
environment. Possess strong scripting skills in shell and Perl, coding in
C, C++, or Java. Extensive experience with core internetworking concepts
and technologies: OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS (BIND), SMTP
(Sendmail, procmail), HTTP. Security focused, experience with SSL, Apache
configs, SSH, certificates, PKI. Experience with LDAP configuration and
schemas, NIS, YP services.
